Domain name setup for use with your reseller website.

You may wish to use your own web address for your new webstore, there are two ways to acheive this.

OPTION ONE: Only want to redirect your website to our servers, but keep your mail settings pointed to your current server?

If you only want to redirect your domain name for use with your new webstore, but keep every other setting, such as email pointing to another location, then you need to have access to your domain names DNS settings. Most web registrars have an online control panel that should allow you to access the DNS settings for your domain name, thus allowing you to change various settings.

  1. Log into your domain name control panel and access the DNS settings section.
  2. Once logged in, you will see a set of IP addresses. Find the entry that has an uppercase letter A next to it.
  3. Once you have found the entry above, simply change the IP address to one provided by us.

OPTION TWO: Change the DNS Servers.

This is the easiest option, simply change your DNS settings to the following:-

DNS Servers
 Primary DNS Server: ns0.dnszones.net
 Secondary DNS Server: ns2.dnszones.net

You will need to contact us if you wish to use the above DNS settings, so we can add your new domain name to our DNS settings. Contact us at [email_at_ redbeck _d0t_co.uk] stating your Trading Name or website address.

Webforwarding

We advise users not to use webforwarding if they can help it. Some web forwarding techniques that leave the redirect domain name in the address bar will (framed forwarding) will cause the session to fail in Internet Explorer. It also can cause issues with the SSL server, making it appear to you customers that the checkout proceedure is not secure.
